The Editor says...     Welcome to the January 2012 issue, (no. 101!) of Ultra VW. You may already have noticed that we’ve made a few changes, notably the return to a more traditional stapled format. It’s a new year so we decided to make a few New Years Resolutions, one of which being to run a series of pull-out posters in the centre of the magazine. It may seem old-school, but we’re always being asked when will be printing another giveaway poster, so consider this our Christmas gift for your garage (or bedroom) wall. Our own workshop needed some brightening up, and what better way to inspire you than with some great images from your favourite VW mag? And it’s not just current stuff we’re going to be printing. Following last month’s retrospective of the past eight years, we realised there have been many awesome cars that really deserve some wall space. So, this month we’re kicking off with a double poster featuring not only our cover car but also the amazing Lightning Bug replica built by The Paintbox for Gasser Garage.
